The cold winter winds can be very damaging to anyones locks. 2008 Winter can make your hair very dry from both the indoor heating and the cold winds from outside. If you’re worried about your hair becoming damaged this winter follow these simple tips to keep your hair from breaking off and becoming damaged.
1. Instead of washing your hair everyday, wash it every other day. This will keep your hair moisturized longer and keep it from becoming dry and brittle. Also make sure you are giving your hair a deep conditioning when you wash your hair. Use cold water to give your hair shine and to lock in moisture. Hot water can damage your hair in the winter and your skin.
2. Invent in a scarf, cap, or hat to protect your hair from the cold winds. Make sure that your scarfs are silk and that your hats are cotton so that you hair as a less change of becoming damaged and breaking off.
3. Try not to leave the house with your hair wet, not only can you become sick, but your hair can also easily break off. At the same time don’t use many heated products on your hair such as sedu irons, and blow dryers. Keep them at limited usage. When you do use these items make sure you hair has been conditioned and moisturized first.
4. If your hair is excessively dry don”t be afraid to use dry shampoos. They will give your hair back the moisture it needs.
5. Pamper your locks once a week with a hot oil treatment. This works wonders for dry hair.
6. If you have a problem with fly-aways winter can bring tons of static to hairstyles. Make sure you use static sheets to keep the fly aways and static hair down.
