Eating Your Way to Healthy Hair

We all know that we are what we eat, so why not eat our way to having healthy, strong, and shiny hair. Here are the best foods to eat to gain a head full of healthy locks.

1. Vegetables: dark leafy greens, beets, broccoli, carrots, and fresh green herbs such as cilantro, mint and basil.

2. Fruits: different types of berries, citrus fruits, melons and sweet grapes, pineapples. (DON’T LIKE EATING FRUIT? TRY MAKING A SMOOTHIE, FOLLOWED WITH WHIPPED CREAM ON THE TOP.) Coconut is excellent for nourishing the hair and scalp.

4. Dairy products: milk and fresh cheese.

5. Whole grains and smaller legumes.

6. Almonds and walnuts.

7. Eat a protein-packed breakfast everyday. (Eggs or egg whites are always a good choice).

8. Brown rice instead of white

9. Fish and salmon

If you want healthy hair make sure you body is getting the following nutrients: Vitamin’s a, b, d, c, e, iron, zinc, sulfur, copper, iodine, and calcium. By eating these food you will maintain healthy hair, they can also help you produce stronger, longer, shinier hair.
