What Damages Hair
What Damages Hair
Are you Damaging your Own Hair?
Everyone loves to blame others for their hair becoming damaged, or for their hair breaking off. Most often believe it or not you may be the reason for your own hair problems.
What could be the cause of the damage?
Are you getting your hair trimmed every 8 to 10 weeks? Like I said earlier I can’t stress this enough, many women will look in the sink and wonder why their hair is starring back at them YOU MUST GET YOUR ENDS TRIMMED. In order for your hair to grow and stay healthy your split or damaged ends must be cut on a regular basis.
Your hair can also break from the top of your head as well. This happens if you’re pulling your hair in tight rubber bands, or super tight ponytails. Give your hair some time away from the pony. Our hair grows best in its natural state which is wearing it down. So if your ends are trimmed and your notice you hair is still breaking off try wearing it down for a while. Also try taking some daily vitamins because you may be vitamin deficient.
Other hair breaking bad habits can include blow drying, straightening, perming, coloring, and curling your hair. If you are doing any of things too often you should invest in a good olive oil treatment every week. Most likely your hair is dry and it is screaming for moisturizers. You should also use a protective product or serum in your hair before applying any form of heat.
It could also be your pillow case, if you find yourself waking up to hair all over your pillow, then blame the pillow case. Investing in a good pillow case is important, it keeps your hair from breaking off, you rest easier, and it can also prevent wrinkles. The best kind of pillow case that can stop your hair damage is satin. These can be purchased at your local Wal-Mart, or for high end quality your local department store. If you don’t like stain pillow cases, you can also try Egyptian cotton, their surface is so soft and smooth which means healthier locks for you.
